Getting to EBAC

EBAC is located at 3100 Summit Street, between Hawthorne and 30th, in Oakland. We are on the second floor.

Driving Directions

From 24 West:

1. Exit West Grand Ave./27th St.
2. Turn left onto 27th St., Turn left onto Telegraph Ave.
3. Turn right onto Hawthorne Ave.
4. Turn right onto Summit St.

From 580 West:

1. Exit MacArthur/Harrison.
2. Go straight on MacArthur Blvd., Turn left onto Broadway Ave.
3. Go 2 blocks and turn right on Hawthorne Ave.
4. Turn left onto Summit St.

From 580 East:

1. Exit on Broadway/Webster Street; take the Webster exit.
2. Turn left at the stop sign onto Webster.
3. Turn right at the next stop onto Hawthorne Ave.
4. Turn left onto Summit Street.

From 880 North:

1. Exit Broadway Ave.
2. Turn right onto Broadway Ave., Turn left on Hawthorne Ave.
3. Turn left onto Summit Street.

From 80 South:

1. Merge to 580 East, Use the 580 East directions.
2. Exit on Broadway/Webster Street; take the Webster exit.
3. Turn left at the stop sign onto Webster.
4. Turn right at the next stop onto Hawthorne Ave.
5. Turn left onto Summit Street.

Parking

Metered street parking is available but limited. We recommend parking in the Providence Garage located directly across Summit Street from our building. Other parking lots are also available but slightly further away:

• Providence Garage: Enter on Summit St., between Hawthorne Ave. and 30th St.
• Merritt Garage: Enter on 34th St., between Webster and Elm St.
• Peralta Garage: Enter on 29th St., between Summit St. and Telegraph Ave.
• Peralta MOB: Enter on Telegraph Ave., between 30th St. and Hawthorne Ave.

BART

MacArthur BART station is the closest to our location. To get to our location from the MacArthur BART station you can:

1. Take the free Alta Bates Summit Shuttle #6 (Express Route Summit/MacArthur BART) parked in front of BART. Shuttles leave every 15 minutes; or,
2. Walk (about 1 mile):
   • East on 40th Street
   • Right on Telegraph
   • Left on Hawthorne
   • Right on Summit; or,
3. Catch a 40, 40L or 43 bus on Telegraph (see AC Transit below).

AC Transit

Lines 40, 40L and 43 travel down Telegraph Avenue:

1. Get off at Hawthorne
2. Walk two blocks East on Hawthorne
3. Turn right onto Summit Street

Lines 51 travels down Broadway:

1. Get off at 30th Street
2. Walk two blocks West on 30th Street
3. Turn right onto Summit Street

Lines 59 travels up Broadway then to Summit Street:

1. Get off on Summit Street directly in front of our building
